Job Description

Start in retail here: a neighbourhood supermarket in Somerset West trains packers who show up and work neat. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Somerset West, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What your day looks like

Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
Collect trolleys from the parking lot
Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves

You'll need

Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
Polite with customers and happy to help
Neat appearance and punctual
Able to stand and lift cases all shift
Basic reading and maths for price checks
Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

Helpful, not essential

Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
Some till or cash-handling experience
Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
