Job Description

A litigation law firm in Benoni needs strong legal admin so the attorneys can focus on the law. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Benoni, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Open new matters and do conflict checks on the practice system
Manage the attorney's diary and book consultations
Collate and index court bundles and discovery files
Type and format letters, notices and affidavits from dictation or drafts
Handle incoming calls and give clients straightforward progress updates

You'll need

Organised under pressure from several attorneys
Discreet with confidential client information
At least 2 years in a law firm or legal department
Matric plus a legal secretary or paralegal qualification

Nice if you have

Audio typing at 60+ words per minute
Paralegal diploma or LLB studies in progress
NCR debt counsellor course
