Live-In Housekeeper and Nanny – Immediate Start

You'll keep a retired couple's cottage in Tzaneen clean, calm and running smoothly for the family. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Tzaneen. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer
• Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
• Water indoor plants and feed pets
• Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals
• Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry

• Good with children and patient
• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
• Able to speak and understand basic English
• South African ID or valid work permit
• Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines

• A driver's licence for school lifts
• Non-smoker

• Registered for UIF and COIDA by the employer
• Transport money for live-out staff
• Written contract with fixed hours and duties

• Families hire on trust, so make references your strongest part. Write the employer's name, suburb, years worked and phone number for each one.
• Ask for a written contract and to be registered for UIF. Good employers expect the question and it protects you.
