Job Description

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a courier operations centre in Secunda, that could be you. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Secunda, Mpumalanga. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Update customers on delivery times and delays
Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity

What you need

Calm and decisive when things go wrong
Good with Excel and email
Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
Matric

Nice if you have

Transport management system (TMS) experience
Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Previous truck driving experience
