Job Description

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a courier operations centre in Welkom, keeping every trip on time. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Welkom (Free State). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Update customers on delivery times and delays
Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
Phone drivers when trucks stop too long or go off-route
Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics
Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest

What you need

Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
Matric
Good with Excel and email
At least 2 years in transport or logistics
Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

Nice if you have

Experience on a vehicle telematics platform
Knowledge of cross-border documentation
Transport management system (TMS) experience

On offer
