Loading Bay Hand (Beverage Depot)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this parcel sorting hub in Midrand, and you move the stock in between. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Midrand-based, with most of your time spent at a parcel sorting hub. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
