Lodge Housekeeper (Game Reserve)

Check-out to check-in in under an hour, room after room, at a game lodge in Boksburg. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a game lodge in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry

• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season

• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests
• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
• Experience with industrial laundry machines

• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
