Lodge Housekeeper (Game Reserve)

Housekeeping at a city business hotel in Hammarsdale is steady work with room to grow into supervising. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Hammarsdale. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Work through a room list, marking rooms clean on the housekeeping board
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers

• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor

• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests
• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
