Job Description

Shrinkage hurts every retail distribution centre; in Ballito, you would be the one tracking it down. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in Ballito (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial

Must-haves

Discreet, observant and honest
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Good report writing
Able to handle confrontation calmly
PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
