Job Description

Blend in, watch closely and act lawfully: that is loss prevention at a fashion retail store in Burgersfort. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Burgersfort. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour

Must-haves

Able to handle confrontation calmly
Discreet, observant and honest
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

Helpful, not essential

Previous store detective experience with case outcomes
Experience giving evidence in court
