Loss Prevention Officer (Distribution Centre) – Immediate Start

Retail in Epping runs on thin margins, and a supermarket needs someone guarding its stock. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a supermarket in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
• Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
• Share trends with the store manager each week
• Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
• Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
• Tag high-value stock and check security tags at the doors
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods

• Able to handle confrontation calmly
• Available for retail hours including month-end weekends
• Discreet, observant and honest
• Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

• Retail loss prevention course
• Previous store detective experience with case outcomes

• Retail trading hours, no night shift in most stores
• Plain clothes work (no uniform in detective roles)
