Maintenance Artisan (Shopping Centre)

Every day is different here: small repairs, painting and planned maintenance at the residential security estate in Klerksdorp. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Klerksdorp, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants

• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store

• Gate motor and intercom repair skills
• Pool and borehole pump experience

• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
