Job Description

Every day is different here: small repairs, painting and planned maintenance at the residential security estate in Pietermaritzburg. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a residential security estate on the Pietermaritzburg side of KwaZulu-Natal. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)

Must-haves

Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
Available for the occasional weekend emergency
Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units

Extra points for

Experience with a work order system on a phone app
Pool and borehole pump experience
Gate motor and intercom repair skills
