Job Description

Handy with a drill, a paintbrush and a tap washer? The rental property portfolio in Cape Town CBD has a list waiting for you. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The site is in Cape Town CBD; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats

You'll need

Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
Available for the occasional weekend emergency
Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store

Nice if you have

Pool and borehole pump experience
Basic first aid certificate

On offer

On-site accommodation at some estates
Uniform and safety boots supplied
Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
