Job Description

Real machines, real budgets and real downtime targets at the engineering consultancy in Burgersfort. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Burgersfort. Relocation is not covered for this one. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current
Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
Check pressure vessels for compliance with the Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347
Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems
Design conveyors, chutes and structures in SolidWorks or Inventor

You'll need

BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles
Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
Able to manage contractors and budgets
Code 08 licence for site visits
