Job Description

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at a private school trust in Mamelodi. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Mamelodi, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances

You'll need

Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One

Nice if you have

Consolidation experience across several companies
Completed articles at an audit firm
