Management Accountant (Retail Group) – Permanent

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at an audit and advisory firm in Pretoria East. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Pretoria East (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
