Master Technician (Premium Brand Dealership) – Experienced

You'll service, diagnose and repair cars in a busy fleet maintenance workshop in Mthatha. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Mthatha-based, with most of your time spent at a fleet maintenance workshop. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Diagnose engine, ABS and airbag faults with an OBD-II diagnostic scanner
• Do wheel alignments and balancing on the alignment bay
• Update control unit software when the manufacturer releases a campaign
• Carry out scheduled services to the manufacturer's checklist and interval
• Write clear job card notes on what you found and what you fixed
• Quote extra work you find and pass it to the service advisor for approval

• At least 3 years as a qualified mechanic in a dealership or workshop
• Able to meet flat-rate or sold-hour targets
• Neat with customer vehicles: seat covers, floor mats and no grease marks
• Your own basic toolbox

• Brand-specific training certificates from a manufacturer academy
• Automatic gearbox or DSG repair experience

• Staff discount on parts and services
• Pay at or above the motor industry bargaining council rates
• Productivity bonus on sold hours above target
• Manufacturer training courses paid by the dealer
