Mathematics Teacher (FET Phase)

A faith-based independent school in Krugersdorp needs a teacher who can hold a class and lift the marks. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is Krugersdorp-based, with most of your time spent at a faith-based independent school. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Keep learner profiles and a tidy teacher file for subject advisers
• Prepare Grade 12 learners for prelims and the NSC exams
• Handle classroom discipline with the school's code of conduct
• Capture marks on SA-SAMS or the school's reporting platform before deadlines
• Set, mark and moderate formal assessment tasks for the term

• At least 1 year of classroom teaching, including teaching practice
• You can manage a class of 35 or more without losing control
• Sound knowledge of CAPS and the assessment policy for your phase
• Full SACE registration (provisional registration only for student or newly qualified teachers)

• Experience marking for the NSC or IEB
• Honours degree in your subject or in education management
