Job Description

Real machines, real budgets and real downtime targets at the materials handling equipment manufacturer in Hammarsdale. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Hammarsdale. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Analyse breakdowns with root cause methods and fix the cause, not the symptom
Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current
Manage shutdowns: planning, spares, contractors and safe restart
Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Check pressure vessels for compliance with the Pressure Equipment Regulations and SANS 347
Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes

You'll need

Able to manage contractors and budgets
Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
Code 08 licence for site visits
Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations

Extra points for

Reliability or asset management certification
Finite element analysis skills
