Mechanical Engineer (Plant Maintenance)

This petrochemical plant in Richards Bay needs a mechanical engineer who is as comfortable on the plant floor as in the design office. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

• Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site
• Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
• Run vibration, thermography and oil analysis programmes on critical equipment
• Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems
• Sign off modifications and keep drawings and records current

• Working knowledge of the OHS Act and General Machinery Regulations
• Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
• Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate, depending on level
• Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations

• Project management certificate
• Experience with SAP PM for maintenance
• Government Certificate of Competency (Mechanical, Factories)
