You'll keep the front of a private hospital admissions office in Isando organised so the doctors can focus on patients. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Isando (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Submit claims electronically and work through the rejection report daily
• Book appointments and manage the doctor's diary on the practice software
• Send monthly statements and age the debtors book
• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Chase short payments with medical schemes and patients

• Friendly on the phone and firm about outstanding accounts
• Matric
• Confident with Excel and email
• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• You keep patient information private, every time

• Worked for a specialist discipline such as radiology, anaesthesia or orthopaedics
• Medical terminology or clinical coding certificate

• Bonus linked to collections at billing bureaus
• Normal practice hours with most weekends off

• Name the billing software you know in your CV headline; practices want someone who needs no system training.
• Specialist rooms care about the discipline, so say if you've coded for surgeons, anaesthetists or radiologists.
