Merchandiser (Grocery Rep Route) – Permanent

Start in retail here: a wholesale cash-and-carry in eMalahleni trains packers who show up and work neat. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in eMalahleni; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Grade 10 or matric
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
