Merchandiser (Grocery Rep Route)

Start in retail here: a liquor store in Fourways trains packers who show up and work neat. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a liquor store in Fourways. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Polite with customers and happy to help

• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

• Paid training in store procedures
• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Staff discount on groceries
