Merchandiser (Grocery Rep Route)

Shoppers in Mamelodi judge a wholesale cash-and-carry by its shelves, and that is where you come in. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a wholesale cash-and-carry in Mamelodi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs

• Grade 10 or matric
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Polite with customers and happy to help

• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

• Paid training in store procedures
• Staff discount on groceries
• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Chance to move into till or department roles

• Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
• If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
