Merchandiser (Grocery Rep Route)

Night fill, weekends or month-end rush, a township shopping centre store in Roodepoort needs extra hands. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a township shopping centre store in Roodepoort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables

• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Grade 10 or matric
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift

• Own transport for route merchandising jobs
• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Some till or cash-handling experience

• Chance to move into till or department roles
