Metallurgical Sampler

Keep throughput up and the plant stable at the gold processing plant near Rustenburg. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

• Clean spillage and keep walkways free of hazards
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Check pumps, cyclones and thickeners on the plant walk
• Adjust reagent dosing and air flow to hit recovery targets
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report

• Basic computer skills for SCADA screens and logs
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher
• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science

• Control room experience
• Forklift or overhead crane licence

• Transport from surrounding towns
• Shift allowances and overtime
• Learnership opportunities toward a metallurgy qualification
