Job Description

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a mine shift transport service in Harrismith is hiring bus drivers. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Harrismith, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What your day looks like

Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points

What you need

At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Patient and friendly with passengers
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Clean driving and criminal record
Punctual for very early starts

Helpful, not essential

Tour coach experience with charters
Experience on mine or staff transport routes
Fluent in more than one language
