Midibus Driver (School Routes) – Fixed-Term

Passengers in Mogwase trust a staff transport contractor to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Mogwase (North West). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Punctual for very early starts
• Medically fit
• Clean driving and criminal record

• Experience on mine or staff transport routes
• Fluent in more than one language

• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
