Job Description

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a mine shift transport service in Prospecton is hiring bus drivers. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a mine shift transport service on the Prospecton side of KwaZulu-Natal. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable

What you need

At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Punctual for very early starts
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Medically fit
Patient and friendly with passengers
Clean driving and criminal record

Extra points for

Tour coach experience with charters
First-aid certificate
Fluent in more than one language
