Midibus Driver (School Routes) – Permanent

Steady shift work with a staff transport contractor in Stellenbosch for drivers with a passenger PrDP. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Punctual for very early starts
• Clean driving and criminal record
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Patient and friendly with passengers

• Tour coach experience with charters
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes
• Fluent in more than one language

• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
