Job Description

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a tour and charter company in Worcester is hiring bus drivers. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Worcester (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits

You'll need

Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Patient and friendly with passengers
Punctual for very early starts
Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
Clean driving and criminal record

Helpful, not essential

First-aid certificate
Fluent in more than one language
