Job Description

A security company in Alberton wants a firm, fair supervisor for its mining operation. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a mining operation in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Meet the client weekly on security concerns
Do surprise night visits to check posts
Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

You'll need

Matric, with a security management course a plus
At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
Firm with staff but fair and consistent
Available after hours for emergencies
Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

Nice if you have

Labour relations or basic supervision course
Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
