Job Description

Officers look to you on every shift at a guarding contract across several sites in Ballito. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a guarding contract across several sites in Ballito. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
Do surprise night visits to check posts
Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Meet the client weekly on security concerns

What you need

Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
Matric, with a security management course a plus
Firm with staff but fair and consistent
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)

Helpful, not essential

Mining or hospital security experience
Labour relations or basic supervision course
Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
