Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: a logistics software company in Stellenbosch. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is in Stellenbosch (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What your day looks like

Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs

What you need

Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript

Nice if you have

Docker and Kubernetes experience
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
