Motor Mechanic (Independent Workshop) – Experienced

This fleet maintenance workshop in Gqeberha needs a qualified mechanic who can handle services, repairs and electrical faults. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a fleet maintenance workshop on the Gqeberha side of Eastern Cape.

• Do wheel alignments and balancing on the alignment bay
• Keep your bay, tools and special service tools clean and counted
• Carry out roadworthy pre-checks on lights, brakes and steering
• Write clear job card notes on what you found and what you fixed
• Road test vehicles before and after repairs

• Able to meet flat-rate or sold-hour targets
• Your own basic toolbox
• At least 3 years as a qualified mechanic in a dealership or workshop
• Code 08 licence so you can road test cars
• Motor mechanic trade test certificate (Red Seal) or occupational certificate at NQF 4

• Air-conditioning regas experience with SAQCC Gas registration
• Brand-specific training certificates from a manufacturer academy
• Automatic gearbox or DSG repair experience

• Manufacturer training courses paid by the dealer
• Tool allowance or tool insurance
• Staff discount on parts and services
