Multi-Skilled Maintenance Hand (Retirement Village)

You'll fix what breaks and prevent what might, around the rental property portfolio in Midrand. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a rental property portfolio on the Midrand side of Gauteng. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas

• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must

• Meals on duty at hotel sites
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• On-site accommodation at some estates
