Network Engineer (Cisco and Fortinet)

A managed services provider in Pretoria East needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at a managed services provider in Pretoria East. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
• Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Document network diagrams and change records
• Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID

• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
• Clear change management and documentation habits
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python

• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
• ISO 27001 audit experience
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Ansible
