Job Description

Selling to companies takes patience; at this industrial distributor in Hammarsdale, big deals are worth the wait. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is an industrial distributor on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.
Forecast monthly sales and report pipeline value each Monday.
Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.
Log every lead, meeting and deal stage in the CRM.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Build quotes and proposals with correct pricing and margins.

You'll need

Solid presentation and negotiation skills
You close deals, not just collect meetings
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car
2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record
Matric plus a sales, marketing or technical qualification
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM

Nice if you have

Salesforce, Zoho or HubSpot CRM experience
Tender and CSD registration experience
An existing network of buyers in your sector
