Night Shift Security Officer (Grade D) – Fixed-Term

You'll control who comes in and out of a distribution warehouse in Kempton Park, and log every visitor properly. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Kempton Park-based, with most of your time spent at a distribution warehouse.

• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clean criminal record

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued

• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
