Job Description

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a furniture retailer warehouse in Bellville wants. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Bellville (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

Must-haves

Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
Friendly with customers at the door
Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
No criminal record
