Offloader (Container Depot)

Delivery days start early in Gqeberha, and a furniture retailer warehouse needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Gqeberha-based, with most of your time spent at a furniture retailer warehouse. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• No criminal record
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Friendly with customers at the door

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
