Apply for this job

Job Description

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a cement and brick yard in Sandton wants. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a cement and brick yard on the Sandton side of Gauteng.

What your day looks like

Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks

Must-haves

Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Friendly with customers at the door
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
No criminal record
Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

What you get

Uniform and safety shoes provided
Meal allowance on long-route days
Help to get your own licence through the company later
Route-completion incentives in busy months

How to apply

Check you meet the must-haves first; recruiters filter on those before anything else.
Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: clear copy of your ID with a certification stamp, police clearance if you already have one plus CV noting any loading, moving or delivery work.
Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 7 working days.

Your application joins the How2Apply talent pool for this role, and we put shortlisted people forward to employers hiring in and around Sandton.

How2Apply never charges you to apply, for training, for uniforms or for a "placement fee". If anyone asks you for money, it is a scam.

How to stand out

Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
