Offloader (Container Depot)

You'll load and offload trucks at a furniture retailer warehouse in Umhlanga so every delivery goes out full and correct. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading

• Friendly with customers at the door
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
