Offloader (Container Depot) – Experienced

You'll load and offload trucks at a parcel sorting hub in White River so every delivery goes out full and correct. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is White River-based, with most of your time spent at a parcel sorting hub.

• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• Keep your CV to one page with your phone number big and clear. Depot managers phone, they seldom email.
