Order Picker (Cold Store)

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a pharmaceutical warehouse in East London. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in East London; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
