Order Picker (Cold Store)

You'll keep a busy pharmaceutical warehouse in Gqeberha stocked, picked and moving out on time. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Gqeberha-based, with most of your time spent at a pharmaceutical warehouse. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
