Order Picker (Cold Store) – Fixed-Term

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a frozen-food distribution centre in Prospecton. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Prospecton-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen-food distribution centre.

• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
