Order Picker (Cold Store) – Fixed-Term

You'll keep a busy clothing distribution centre in Somerset West stocked, picked and moving out on time. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Somerset West (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
