Job Description

You'll phone customers who have fallen behind and agree payment plans they can actually keep. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Brakpan. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

Update debtor contact details from tracing searches.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Record reasons for non-payment so the credit team can adjust policy.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.

Must-haves

Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
Matric
Clear credit and criminal record
You keep your tone respectful even when the debtor is not
Target-driven and comfortable with commission

Nice if you have

A second South African language
Experience on a collections system such as Debtmaster or a dialler platform

On offer

Uncapped monthly commission on collected rands
